Carlos Castaneda has written 13 books about Nagualism, a system of beliefs of shamans of Mexico lived thousands of years ago. When he was an anthropological student at UCLA in Los Angeles (where he was professor for more than thirty years), he met (during a fieldwiork) a Yaqui Indian from Sonora who turned out to be a true shaman follower of a very ancient tradition and versed in perceiving energy directly, a manouver which he called (together with his fellow seers): The Art of Freedom.

After decades of hard work Carlos Castaneda succeded in making possible for everyone to understand and live that system of knowledge of Don Juan, and thus perceiving the world in ways impossible to understand or explain. After the new system created (Tensegrity) and established, he decided to retire himself from the world of everyday life.

The awesome importance of what Nagual Carlos Castaneda has done, as scientist, writer and leader, is at the present day not at all taken into consideration by the official knowledge (scientists, philosophers and men responsible of the future of the planete and ourselves), this is to attribute not only to their superficiality or ignorance, but especially to the extreme hardship required to understant what intent really is.
